Azure DevOps Certification Bootcamp

Become a Certified DevOps Engineer in 6 Weeks

Transition Into a Career as a DevOps Engineer

Learn DevOps foundations by completing real-world projects, interacting with our community on weekly live Q&A calls, and prepare for the Azure DevOps Engineer Expert (AZ-400) certification exam with step-by-step hands-on labs and in-depth practice exams.

Week 1: DevOps Fundamentals

Gain an understanding of core DevOps principles and practices, terminology and culture. Learn the foundations of DevOps and understand how businesses build high performance IT teams, why we need DevOps and the history of how we got here, how to move past traditional processes and implement Agile infrastructure, identify and eliminate wasteful processes, and much more.

Week 2: Infrastructure as Code

Discover the core building blocks of Infrastructure as Code and how to completely automate the entire application lifecycle. Infrastructure as Code (IaC) is the management of infrastructure (networks, virtual machines, load balancers, etc.) in a descriptive model, using the same versioning as development team uses for application source code. Learn how to author, test, and deploy Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates to automate the end-to-end deployment of applications.

Week 3: Scripting & Event-Driven Automation

Get started with writing automation scripts using PowerShell core and learn the basics of Azure PowerShell, Azure Cloud Shell, Azure Automation, and how to work with Git, GitHub, Azure Repos, and VS Code, as an infrastructure developer. Learn how to deliver event-based automation solutions with serverless functions written in pure PowerShell script.

Week 4: Continuous Integration & Continuous Delivery

Continuous Integration (CI) is the process of automating the build and testing of code every time a team member commits changes to version control. Continuous Delivery (CD) is the process to build, test, configure and deploy from a build to a production environment. Learn how to implement CI/CD with Azure DevOps in real-world projects, and discover what you need to know in order to pass the AZ-400 certification exam.

Week 5: Cloud-Native Architecture

Learn the foundations of Docker containers, orchestration systems (including Kubernetes), microservices architecture, serverless functions and event-driven computing, and cloud deployment options such as the blue-green deployment pattern, canary releases, dark launches, and feature toggles. Also learn how to collect metrics, create alarms and alerts, implement centralized log aggregation, and perform A/B testing.

Week 6: DevOps Culture, Communication, and Leadership

Learn about the cultural transformation that DevOps teams are embracing and how to succeed on high performance teams. Being an effective contributor requires new skills, tools, innovative thinking, and transformational leadership practices. Discover the communication and leadership skills you'll need to collaborate effectively with others, break down silos between teams, and evolve with your organization.

DevOps Bootcamp is delivered online and consists of live training sessions, hands-on video labs, live Q&A calls and a Slack community. You complete the program online and have access to the community for life.

How does this work?

You attend the live sessions (or watch the replay), complete the required labs, take practice exams, and ask questions in the Slack community or on the live Q&A calls. Follow the process, get results.

DevOps Bootcamp starts the moment you enroll. You can get started with our on-demand courses, guided hands-on labs, and attend weekly live Q&A calls. Our next rotation of live training sessions start in January 2020.

We created DevOps Bootcamp because making a career transition alone can seem nearly impossible. This program is a linear, step-by-step approach with technical training that includes mentoring and peer support.

How much does this cost?

We have different pricing options, but in either case, DevOps Bootcamp is currently less expensive than going to a conference or a live class.
